LAGANA, LONDON
dining
should be playful.
AVATARS
Stainless steel, dripping candlesticks, and crayon drawings on the tables- this isn’t your everyday restaurant.
Shoreditch itself has gone through major transformations over the years- going from the gritter side of town to the place to be for dining and nightlife. Lagana is emblematic of that shift. Upscale yet unpretentious, here you’re reminded that above all, dining should be fun.
A menu of small plates inspired by the nourishing flavors of Greece and the Mediterranean, it’s a dinner perfectly fit to share. There’s a richness in the air, and it comes in the form of freshly-baked puffy flatbreads, salty graviera cheese, oregano and thyme and honeycomb... it is not a “tight outfit” type of meal. In your mind, you’re on a Greek beach, basking in the sun while you delight in Lagana’s courgette tempura with red pepper, elegant sea bass ceviche, grilled lamb skewers, and lots and lots of tzatziki.
Too full? Doesn’t matter. You won’t be leaving without trying the restaurant’s indulgent caramel cheesecake.
"With a bit of creativity and a lot more olive oil, Lagana makes dining playful once more."
