Simply the most memorable bookstore I’ve yet to see around the world, Tsutaya’s Daikanyama location is a place I could easily spend the whole day.

Floor upon floor of warmly lit spaces, Tsutaya is a true sanctuary for book lovers. Here you can browse for hours- from books on art, fashion, cars, food, architecture, and design to niche Japanese magazines celebrating commercial lighting and café design. There is even an entire section for Travel Story books! If you’re not sure where to begin, consult with the store’s own Book Concierge.

In their Daikanyama location, head to café Anjin for endless coziness- with a grand piano and warm cups of tea. Go to the Share Lounge for the best co-working spot ever- with free flow food, coffee, and more included in the price.

Afterwards, head to nearby Garden House Crafts for a pastry.
