I experienced my very first omakase in Japan at this sophisticated sushi bar on Christmas Day in 2024- and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in the best of Japanese cuisine.
A 14-seat counter in dark wood, the chefs are the centerpiece of this sleek restaurant. Watch as the team, (including an ever-rare female sushi chef!) prepares multi-course menus that will have you thinking of your meal for weeks after. Working in line with the seasons, you’ll see all sorts of local produce as the menu rotates throughout the year- from shiso flower to fresh uni to Hokkaido pumpkin. The highlight of my meal here was the chutoro nigiri, which is heaven for tuna fans.
As this is no ordinary meal, it is absolutely essential to book a reservation ahead of time.
