One of the largest selections of what I would call “psychedelic art,” the paintings here will leave you mesmerized. The colors of Thailand are, in themselves, impressive- but translated into paintings, they are more than worth the trek out to the city’s contemporary art museum. The complex depictions of Buddhist tales and traditional Thai epics are wildly colorful- and simply unlike any others you’ll find elsewhere. I recommend pairing a visit to MOCA with a wander around the Ari or Chatuchak neighborhoods since they’re out of the way of the main areas of the city.
