Famed for its collection of impressionist works by renowned artists such as Monet and van Gogh, Musée d’Orsay is housed in one of Paris’s former grand train stations. I enjoy visiting most in the off-season, where mornings can be quiet- and if you’re lucky, you may sometimes find the place nearly empty! Otherwise, arrive early and hop in the queue.
Though the art collection itself is spectacular, my favorite part of this museum is the building’s long history. Its large clock faces are now some of the most well-known across the world. This museum is also free for EU residents aged 25 and under, with ID.
