AVATARS
It was a long and rainy day when I first happened upon this tiny yakiniku spot– which would quickly become an unforgettable first experience of this Japanese charcoal-grilled beef.
Down a discreet little alleyway in Shibuya, this hole-in-the-wall yakiniku restaurant focuses on halal offerings- and the beef quality is something I think about every single day. Writing this makes me hungry…
Try their lunch set, a perfect helping of different types of beef, rice, miso soup, kimchi and pickles, and a perfectly balanced milk pudding for dessert. Phenomenal quality, Japanese simplicity, and the simple beauty of cooking your meal over hot coals, you’ll think about this place for months to come.
"Sometimes you just feel like a carnivore- and yakiniku satisfies all your carnal desires."
